MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – As winter approaches, the Army Corps of Engineers will continue to provide camping opportunities from Nov.1 through March 31, 2018 on Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes.

Winter campsites with electricity and flush toilets will be available at Lakeview Park on Bull Shoals Lake, and Dam Quarry Park on Norfork Lake.  These campgrounds offer reservable sites as well as walkups. For reservations please call the National Recreation Reservation Service at 877-444-6777, or log on to their website at www.recreation.gov.

Non-gated parks on Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes will offer a limited number of campsites without amenities for visitors that like a more primitive camping experience. During winter months camping is free at these parks.

All boat ramps around these lakes are open with no Day Use Fees charged during the winter season. Day Use Fees are collected from April 1st through September 30th of each year.

For more information, contact the Mountain Home Project Office at 870-425-2700 or stop by the office located at 324 W. 7th Street, Mountain Home, Ark. 72653.  You may also contact the Duty Ranger at the Visitor Center by calling 870-425-2700 Ext. 1400.
