CORPS CLOSES SPILLWAY GATES AT BEAVER DAM, CONTINUES RELEASES THOUGH GENERATOR

Published May 5, 2017

ROGERS, Ark. – The Little Rock District of the Army Corps of Engineers will close the spillway gates at Beaver Dam at noon today but will continue releasing 3,800 cubic feet per second through the turbine generator. The current lake elevation is 1,129.3.

The Corps’ plan is to continue passing inflow throughout the weekend.  There should be little change to the lake level.

Although National Weather Service is predicting dry conditions through May 10, future rainfall may cause the Corps to increase releases from Beaver Lake.

If you have questions, call the Beaver Project Office at 479-636-1210.  Daily lake information can be obtained at www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil or the Corps’ mobile App which can be found in mobile App stores by searching for USACE Little Rock.
