The process of removing the steel arch from the main navigation channel is ongoing. It is anticipated that the closure of the navigation channel will be extended to mid-afternoon October 13, unless there are other delays. The safety zone previously established by the U.S. Coast Guard remains in effect from NM 118.6 to NM 119.6.
Vessels may contact Coast Guard Sector Lower Mississippi River on VHF-FM Channel 16 for further information.
