HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – One lane of Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam will close temporarily from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. June 24 through June 25.

Maintenance personnel will be clearing clogged roadway drains.  Personnel will be positioned near vehicles on the dam to direct traffic. Officials urge motorists to slow down, use caution and obey traffic direction.

Officials at the Army Corps of Engineers’ Greers Ferry Project Office regret any inconvenience this may cause, and asks for the public’s cooperation until the inspection is complete. The closure is being coordinated with emergency services and law enforcement agencies. Corps officials ask travelers to plan alternate routes and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

For more information call the Greers Ferry Project office at 501-362-2416, or stop by the office near the dam on Highway 25, three miles north of Heber Springs.
