    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Dan Christensen, Central Arkansas Recycling & Disposal Services, LLC, 1457A East Robinson Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with the expansion of the CARDS Landfill. The proposed project would discharge approximately 6,165 cubic yards of fill material into 3.82 acres of wetlands, approximately 486 linear feet of ephemeral streams, 74 linear feet of intermittent streams, and 80 linear feet of intermittent streams and 92 linear feet of perennial streams would be piped.

  • EO 14156 in Arkansas

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Southwestern Division has approved the use of special emergency processing procedures by the Little Rock District, as the lead district in Arkansas, in accordance with 33 CFR § 325.2(e)(4) for activities covered by the National Energy Emergency declared in Executive Order (EO) 14156. That EO was issued on January 20, 2025, under the President's legal authorities, including the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. §§ 1601 et seq.) and 3 USC§ 301.

    The purpose of this notice is to advise the public that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division has approved the use of special emergency processing procedures by the Kansas City District, as the lead district in Missouri, in accordance with 33 CFR § 325.2(e)(4) for activities covered by the National Energy Emergency declared in Executive Order (EO) 14156. That EO was issued on January 20, 2025, under the President's legal authorities, including the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. §§ 1601 et seq.) and 3 USC§ 301.

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Jared Rabren, Drake Field Airport Director, 4500 South School Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701, requests authorization to fill approximately 1.33 acres of emergent wetlands and 237 linear feet of intermittent stream channel. Additionally, approximately 84 linear feet of intermittent stream channel will be culverted. The purpose of the proposed action is to remove the safety issues caused by aircraft having to back-taxi or cross the runway when utilizing the east side of the airport. The proposed project is located in 5 unnamed wetlands and 1 unnamed intermittent tributary of Ward Slough, in the SW 1/4 of section 4 and the NW 1/4 of section 9, T. 15 N., R. 30 W., Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas.

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Applied Land Restoration, Ms. Page Shurgar, PO Box 7901, Little Rock, AR 72217, has submitted a mitigation banking instrument modification request for an additional site proposal called Site #2 Triangle Park for the Fourche Bayou Mitigation Bank (FBMB). This proposal outlines the development and operation of the additional property to the bank. After public comments are received and any issues are resolved on the proposal, Applied Land Restoration will submit a draft proposal to the District Engineer of the Little Rock District. The District Engineer will then distribute the draft proposal to the Interagency Review Team (IRT), which is made up of the Corps and the pertinent state and Federal resource agencies. The IRT will review the proposal and coordinate with Applied Land Restoration on any issues until a final proposal is completed. Finally, the District Engineer will review the final proposal and make a decision to approve or not approve.
