    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, HAS ISSUED GP-45, authorizing the discharge of dredged or fill material, in the State of Missouri, associated with activities designed to improve water quality, improve fish and wildlife habitat, maintain recreational value, and extend the lifespan of man-made lakes and ponds. This permit authorizes the removal and discharge of lakebed/pond sediment in conjunction with mechanical dredging, hydraulic dredging (including return water from such activities) and excavation activities.

    In accordance with Title 33 CFR 325.2 and 325.7(e), as published in the November 13, 1986, Federal Register, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District proposes to issue a regional general permit (RGP) which would authorize the maintenance of man-made lakes and ponds. Permitted activities involve sediment removal, wave attenuation structures, shoreline stabilization, and fish and wildlife habitat improvement. The RGP would be issued for a period of 5 years.

    Consideration of reissuance of a Regional General Permit (RGP) for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with the authorization of recreational facilities. On April 17, 2013, the Little Rock District Corps of Engineers issued a RGP for recreational facilities in navigable waters of the United States within the States of Arkansas and Missouri. As lead Corps District in the State of Arkansas, Little Rock District is responsible for coordinating advertisement and review of comments on this statewide regional general permit. Little Rock, Vicksburg, and Memphis Districts are represented in the State of Arkansas. The authority for permit issuance is found in Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S. Code 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344). Corps districts are authorized to develop RGPs in accordance with Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 325.2(e)(2) and 325.5(c)(1).
