2021 Youth Deer Hunt

The purpose of the Annual Ozark Isle Special Youth Deer Hunt is to help improve the deer herd in the area through the provision of a recreational opportunity.  This opportunity is being extended to the nation's youth in order to help youngsters to create an interest in conservation and the outdoors.  This hunt is an effort to provide access, facilities, and other needed resources so these youngsters can enjoy a safe and successful recreational experience.  For more information about participating in the youth deer hunt, please call the Mountain Home Project Office at 870-425-2700.  Interested youth hunters must include their hunter education identification number on their application.

The USACE Mountain Home Project Office hosts an Annual Mobility Impaired Deer Hunt
at Bull Shoals Lake.

Hunting opportunities are abundant for white-tailed deer, eastern wild turkey, and other game species at Bull Shoals Lake.  Numerous boat ramps and parking areas provide access to large parcels of little used public land. Licenses for hunting and fishing are required in accordance with state and federal laws.

Hunting is prohibited in developed parks.  All other land that is managed by the Corps of Engineers is available to the public for in-season hunting.
