  • MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 14-23 Mississippi River Commission Inspection Trip

    MKARNS - The Mississippi River Commission will be conducting an inspection of the MKARNS aboard the M/V Mississippi. The M/V Mississippi is scheduled to enter the MKARNS at the mouth of the White River on August 5th and proceed upstream to the Port of Muskogee (NM 393.8). The downstream trip will commence on August 11th at the Port of Muskogee and proceed downstream and exit the MKARNS on August 14th.
  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 14-22 Ferry Traffic Between NM 2.4 and NM 2.6

    MKARNS - Mariners are advised to use caution while transiting NM 2.4 through NM 2.6. Ferry traffic is scheduled to begin the week of July 28 and continue through December. The hours of operation will be 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Ferry landings will be located at NM 2.4 (right bank) and NM 2.6 (left bank).
  • NAV NOTICE SWL 14-20 MKARNS - Sailing Instructions NM 64.0 - NM 64.4

    MKARNS - Due to shallow pool conditions, mariners are advised that until further notice, both upbound and downbound tows should stay 25 feet away from the red buoys while between NM 64.0 and NM 64.4.
  • MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 14-19 Safety Zone for Pops on the River Fireworks Display

    Little Rock - To ensure the safety of life and property during the Pops on the River fireworks display in Little Rock, AR, a safety zone will be established by the Coast Guard for the Arkansas River from mile marker 118.8 to mile marker 119.5. The safety zone will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on July 4, 2014.
