Scuba diving is an ever increasing sport at Beaver Lake. Plenty of crystal clear waters are waiting to be discovered in the lower reaches of the lake near the dam area. The deep waters provide near 300’ of depth is some areas. There are many submerged objects and old foundations to explore.
Divers must follow all Federal and Arkansas boating regulations:
1. Scuba divers or skin divers must display a diver-down flag to mark their diving area. Those spear fishing must display a
diver-down flag and are also required to stay within 300’ of the displayed flag.
2. Vessels not engaged in diving operations should stay at least 100’ away from a diver-down flag.
3. A diver flag is a rectangular red flag with a white diagonal stripe which can be attached to a vessel, float, or buoy.
