    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District held Levee Sector Lead training for 23 employees from around the district at the Jacksonport State Park Visitor Center in Jacksonport, Arkansas on March 27, 2024.

    Water Safety this 4th of July

    Arkansas Senator John Boozman and Congressman Bruce Westerman took time out of their schedule to talk about water safety with Little Rock District Commander, Colonel Eric Noe. Topics discussed were drinking alcohol while boating and wearing your life jacket when you are in or near the water. There have been seven drownings this year in the Little Rock District.     Little Rock District presented USACE Contracting Award

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District Contracting Division continues to lead the way. Earlier this year the contracting division was presented the Excellence in Contracting District of the Year Award by Lt. Gen. Thomas Bostick, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commanding general.

    Little Rock District takes huge step in project planning

    The City of Springfield, Missouri, experiences damages from flash floods along Jordan Creek. The area along Jordan Creek is heavily urbanized and includes extensive infrastructure associated with both commercial and industrial areas. A wide variety of management measures to address the flood risk were developed, evaluated and screened.
