FAIRFIELD BAY, Ark. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is clarifying information communicated during the Fairfield Bay City Council meeting on Oct. 9, 2024, regarding the operations and lease terms of Fairfield Bay Park.

USACE sent the city of Fairfield Bay a three-year lease agreement that must be signed by Dec. 31, 2024. If the city fails to sign the lease, an orderly shutdown will begin in 2025. Per the lease terms, a sublease will not be allowed. If the park closes, all future reservations will be canceled, and the park will be restored to pre-lease conditions.

USACE and the city of Fairfield Bay have a 27-year history of working together to operate and maintain Fairfield Bay Park. Our goal is to continue this partnership while ensuring the park is operated and maintained in compliance with the lease and in accordance with governing federal law and regulation.
