Safety Around Water Activities at Table Rock Lake

With summer weather just around the corner, Table Rock Lake and the Ozark Mountain YMCA are hosting a Safety Around Water event at the Dewey Short Visitor Center. Activities will include demonstrations, games, and an opportunity to meet Bobber the Water Safety Dog.

"The event is really an opportunity for us to get in front of the public and remind them how important water safety is," says USACE Natural Resource Specialist Ryan Braaten. "Table Rock Lake offers so many amazing recreation opportunities. We want everyone to have a great summer, but more importantly we want them to be safe while they’re on the water. This event with the Ozark Mountain YMCA is just one step in making sure that happens."

Winding down through the valleys and hollows of the Ozark Mountains, from Branson, Missouri to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Table Rock Lake is more than 40,000 acres of pristine blue water. One of four lakes in Arkansas and Missouri responsible for impounding the White River, Table Rock provides flood control, hydropower and world-class recreation opportunities.

The Dewey Short Visitor Center is located just south of Table Rock Dam at 4500 State Highway 165, Branson, MO  65616 and is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  For more information, please call 501-340-1943.  U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District updates can be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/littlerockusace, and on X (Twitter) at www.twitter.com/usacelittlerock.
