Monte Ne is one of Arkansas' most fascinating historical sites - a once grand resort that now lies largely submerged beneath Beaver Lake. Originally a town and resort created by a well-known lawyer and businessman, William "Coin" Harvey, Monte Ne once spread across more than 300 acres. Hotel Monte Ne, completed in 1901 was a three story log structure that was at one time one of the largest and most unique structures of its time. Today, little remains above water of Monte Ne. Even the lone tower from its Oklahoma Row was removed in 2023 as it had become a safety hazard. Today what remains can be discovered under Beaver Lake by scuba divers or at exhibits in the local community of Rogers, Arkansas.
