Colonel Eric M. Noe assumed duties as District Engineer and Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District on July 9, 2019.
He came to Little Rock from the National Military Command Center, in Washington D.C., where he served on the Joint Staff as a Deputy Director of Operations and Presidential Strike Advisor.
Colonel Noe received his commission from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering. He also holds Master’s degrees from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Missouri in Engineering Management and from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, Washington D.C. in National Resource Strategy. He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
His operational assignments include: Platoon Leader and Battalion Intelligence Officer, 9th Engineer Battalion, Schweinfurt, Germany; Task Force Engineer, 1-26th Infantry forward deployed to Macedonia (OPERATION ABLE SENTRY); Aide-de-Camp, 1st Infantry Division, Assistant Division Commander for Maneuver in Germany then forward deployed to Macedonia and Kosovo (OPERATIONs ALLIED FORCE and JOINT GUARDIAN II); Company Commander, 52nd Engineer Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado and forward deployed to Iraq in 2003 (OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM I); Observer Coach and Trainer, 1-361st Training Support Battalion (Redhawks), Fort Carson, Colorado and Fort Bliss, Texas; U.S. Exchange Officer, Canadian Forces School for Military Engineering, Canadian Forces Base Gagetown, New Brunswick; Brigade Plans Officer, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division forward deployed to Iraq (OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM 08-09); Battalion Executive Officer, 52nd Engineer Battalion (Construction Effects); Senior Observer Coach and Trainer in the Mission Command Training Program, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and Battalion Commander, 84th Engineer Battalion (Multi-Effects), Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Colonel Noe is a graduate of the Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced courses, Combined Arms Services Staff School, and Army Command and General Staff College.
His military awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Bronze Order of the Engineer DeFlueury Medal. He is also a graduate of the Army Airborne, Air Assault and Rappel Master schools.
Colonel Noe is a lifetime member of the Association of the United States Army, the Army Engineer Association, the American Overseas Memorial Day Association, and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces and Eisenhower School. He is also a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, Project Management Institute, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the West Point Association of Graduates.
He is an Eagle Scout and a Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow.
