MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 25-69 Caution Advisory MPLD DS Approach

Mariners are advised that significant shoaling has occurred in the downstream approach at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5). Crews are onsite performing dredging and clamming operations, and the contract dredge is scheduled to arrive next week. A subsequent navigation notice will be issued once the shoaling has been cleared.

Mariners are advised that the partial lock closure at James W. Trimble Lock (No. 13) NM 292.8 has been extended through October 18th, 2025. During this time, the Lock will be closed daily (Monday thru Saturday) between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The lock will be opened to traffic each night between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., and all day on Sundays, however a 70-ft width restriction will be in place.

USACE to temporarily close Buck Creek Park

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will temporarily close Buck Creek Park on Bull Shoals Lake Sept. 22 through Oct. 8, 2025, for park improvements. Work includes paving, major road improvements and expansion of the boat ramp parking lot.

Single lane closure scheduled for Nady County Road across Lock Number Two

Tichnor, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be closing one lane of the Nady County Road bridge across Lock Number 2 near Tichnor, Arkansas, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sept. 24, 2025, for a routine bridge inspection.

USACE to begin roadwork and park enhancements at Bull Shoals Lake

Single lane closure scheduled for Highway 177 across Norfork Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be closing one lane of the Highway 177 bridge across Norfork Dam beginning at 6 a.m. Sept. 9 through Oct. 30, 2025, to perform routine maintenance. The lane closure will remain in place 24 hours a day until the work is complete.
