ALWAYS THE THIRD WEEKEND IN APRIL

  • Attend workshops on woodcarving, wildlife photography, composting and wildflowers.

  • Take field trips to watch birds, hike trails, ride a barge, tour gardens and go on a prairie hayride.

  • See exhibits about composting, wildlife rehabilitation, butterflies, backyard bird feeding and native plants.

  • Learn about gardening, backyard wildscaping, alligators, local area history, bird identification, building bird boxes, landscaping with native plants and wildflowers to attract birds.

  • Buy local art, native plants, arts & crafts.

  Don't miss these special activities:

  • Friday, school groups are invited to participate in a special festival especially for them.

  • Friday night features Bar-B-Que, a Jamboree and a live birds of prey show.

  • Saturday has events at the Ashdown Jr. High designed for families, 4-H Clubs, Scouts and other groups.
