Hunting
Wildlife
species in the area are headlined by numerous species of waterfowl.
In autumn, the mallard is king. Other wildlife species found in
good numbers at Millwood are white-tailed deer, bobwhite quail,
dove, squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, armadillo, opossum, fox, mink,
and beaver. Hunting is not allowed within 300 yards of any developed
recreation area or structure, including dams and levees. Duck blinds
are permitted but must be temporary and removed within one week
at the end of the season. No permit is required. Public
hunting maps showing Corps-managed areas open for hunting are available
from the Millwood-Tri Lakes Resident Office or the Little Rock District
Office.
