Center
The
William Carl Garner Visitor Center is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’
Visitor Center for Greers Ferry Lake. The Center is located on Hwy
25 North just west of Greers Ferry Dam near Heber Springs, AR.
The barrier-free center features restrooms, an information desk,
exhibit area, auditorium, a children’s touch table and a replica
of the world record 40 lb. 4 oz. brown trout caught in the Little
Red River downstream of the Center.
The Center also offers camping information for Corps of Engineers
parks and general visitor information about the area. The self-guided
Mossy Bluff and Buckeye National Nature Trails are located adjacent
to the Center.
The Center features an audio-visual presenta
tion, “The Saga of the Little Red; A Tale of Two Centuries”,
and an exhibit area which describes the Little Red River area from
prehistoric time through the present.
