Road Construction Begins At Bona Dea
RUSSELLVILLE,
Ark. - Construction of a new equipment access road adjacent to the
Army Corps of Engineers' Bona Dea Trails will cause intermittent
temporary closures to portions of the trail and possible traffic
delays on Lakefront Drive. Construction will begin across Lakefront
Drive from Ouita Boat Ramp and extend to the Prairie Creek Pump
Station. More

Corps of Engineers Camping Fee Schedule for 2010
RUSSELLVILLE,
Ark.--The Army Corps of Engineers' announces the new 2010 Camping
Fee Schedule for the Russellville Project Office. This fee schedule
will begin Jan.1, 2010. Corps campsite fees (excluding Maumelle
Park) located from Little Rock to Fort Smith will be as follows:
Tent sites - $10
30 amp sites only - $16
30 amp sites with water - $18
50 amp sites with water - $20
Maumelle Park campsite fees are as follows:
30 amp sites with water -$22
50 amp sites with water - $24
50 amp sites with water and on water front - $26
These
changes reflect a recent annual fee survey. The survey ensures that
prices are comparable with all area private, local, state and federal
campgrounds.
Most
Russellville Project Office campgrounds remain open year round although
some have reduced services in the winter. In 2010, this will also
include Riverview Park in Dardanelle, Ark. For more information

Quarry North of Old Post Road Park Is Off Limits
RUSSELLVILLE,
Ark., July 20 -- The Army Corps of Engineers is alerting the public
that the old rock quarry just north of Old Post Road Park is off
limits. Recently, an individual was seriously injured after falling
off the edge of the quarry’s cliff. Public safety is the Corps’
primary concern. More
