Boy Scout Troop 65 and the Missouri Department of Conservation to
celebrate Earth Day with a day full of activities.

Mo. – With the recent warm weather and budding of the trees, many
of you have the urge to get out for some outdoor activities. Anglers
are starting to get back out on the water, playgrounds are filling
up with children, and barbecue grills are being fired up. This flurry
of activity is a sure sign of spring.

Mo. – The 2010 camping season is upon us! Starting May 15, all five
campgrounds at Clearwater Lake will be in full swing. We hope to

Department of Conservation, recently completed the annual installment
of fish shelters on Clearwater Lake.

Opening Schedule
PIEDMONT,
Mo. – The days are getting warmer, and spring is peeking around
the corner. With the weather, we have seen an increase in activity
at Clearwater Lake. Anglers start cruising the lake looking for
that perfect fishing hole, and people are getting their camping
gear prepared. While we have a few who camp in the winter, camping
season is about to pick up.

Use Passes Now Available at Clearwater Lake Project Office
PIEDMONT, Mo.– The Army Corps of Engineers at Clearwater
Lake announced that Annual Day Use Passes for 2010 are now in stock
and available at the Clearwater Lake Project Office. The passes
cost $30 each, and holders of Golden Age or Access Passports or
America the Beautiful Senior or Access Passports may purchase them
for $15.

Annual Bald Eagle Survey Yields Important Results
PIEDMONT,
Mo., Jan. 26 -- The natural resources branch at Clearwater Lake
recently completed its annual midwinter bald eagle survey. This
was the most successful year in Clearwater’s history in conducting
the eagle survey. A total of 13 eagles were observed, exceeding
last year’s amount of nine. There were four immature bald eagles,
and the remaining nine were mature bald eagles. Results are submitted
to the state coordinator. More

for the 2010 Recreation Season are Now Open
PIEDMONT, Mo.-- For those of you who like to plan ahead,
you can start making reservations to camp at Clearwater Lake for
the 2010 recreation season. Reservations can be made up to 180 days
in advance of your arrival. More

Clearwater Dam Major Rehabilitation Project (Phase 1)
PIEDMONT, Mo., May 30 – The first phase of the Clearwater
Dam Major Rehabilitation Project is underway. The contract for this
phase the project was awarded to ACT (Advanced Construction Techniques),
which in turn sub-contracted part of the work to Quadri Construction
Company of Ellsinore, Mo. Phase one is expected to take about one
year to complete. More

Phase Beginning on Clearwater Dam Rehabilitation
PIEDMONT, Mo., March 14 – The first phase of the Clearwater
Dam Major Rehabilitation Project will get underway this month. Over
the course of the next four years or so, a concrete cutoff wall
will be built through the dam into the bedrock to make the dam good
as new and keep it safe for many years to come. More
