SLW 2001-17046-4 - 4/25/2016: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that, Mr. Chad Cox, Echo Matrix, LLC, PO Box 1860, Bentonville, Arkansas 72712, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with the construction of a public use terminal building, taxiway, and parking lot for the Bentonville Municipal Airport. The building would include a restaurant, with an adjacent dock. The proposed project is located in an unnamed ephemeral stream, which flows into Lake Bentonville, and in two associated wetlands in a portion of section 6, T. 19 N., R. 30 W., Bentonville, Benton County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is to provide a public use terminal for airport operations. The overall purpose of the project is to provide a 40,000-square-foot parking area and a 60,000-square-foot area that includes the facility and taxiway for Bentonville Municipal Airport.

SWL 2016-00119 - 4/15/2016: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), PO Box 2261, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203-2261, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with replacing the bridges and upgrading the approaches over Flat Creek, Cabin Creek and Sugar Creek, beginning approximately one mile east of Hardy. The proposed project is located on U.S. Highway 63 in section 12, T. 19 N., R. 5 W., and in sections 17 and 18, T. 19 N., R. 4 W., Sharp County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is to replace three structurally deficient bridges. The overall purpose of the project is to upgrade the roadway and make it safer for motor vehicle traffic on U.S. Highway 63.

SWL 2015-00366 - 4/11/2016: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that, Mr. Frank Pampalone, Walmart Stores, Inc., 2001 SE 10th Street, Bentonville, Arkansas 72716, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with construction of a Walmart Neighborhood Market. The proposed project is located in wetlands, in the SE 1/4 of section 32, T. 1 N., R. 13 W., Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is commercial development. The overall purpose of the project is to construct a Walmart Neighborhood Market in the vicinity of Highway 5 and Baseline Road in Little Rock. The project is not water dependent. The project would include a 41,952-square-foot Neighborhood Market with 185 parking spaces. Impacts to waters of the United States would include the fill of approximately 0.69 acres of wetlands.

SWL 2016-00057 - 3/24/2016: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Brandon Huffman, Panther Branch LLC, P.O. Box 242840, Little Rock, Arkansas 72223, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with the construction of an approximately 300-unit apartment complex. The proposed project is located in unnamed tributaries to Rock Creek, associated wetlands, and one open water pond, in the NW 1/4 of section 6, T. 1 N., R. 13 W., Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is to provide housing. The overall purpose of the project is a residential development including approximately 300 apartment units in the West Little Rock area.

SWL 2016-00051 - 3/23/2016: Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Streamworks Mitigation Services, LLC, ATTN: Ms. Jody Duke, P.O. Box 23612, Little Rock, Arkansas 72221, has submitted their Gum Log Creek Mitigation Bank prospectus. The prospectus outlines the proposal for developing and operating the bank, which is known as the banking instrument. After public comments are received and any issues are resolved on the prospectus, Streamworks Mitigation Services, LLC (Streamworks) will submit a draft-banking instrument to the District Engineer of the Little Rock District. The District Engineer will then distribute the draft-banking instrument to the Interagency Review Team (IRT), which is made up of the Corps and the pertinent state and Federal resource agencies. The IRT will review the banking instrument and coordinate with Streamworks on any issues until a final banking instrument is completed. Finally, the District Engineer will review the final instrument and make a decision to approve or not approve. The primary purpose of this bank is to mitigate for unavoidable impacts to streams and wetlands authorized under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The project goal is to restore streams and wetlands.
