Clearwater Lake

Shoreline Management

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages 16,100 acres of land around Clearwater Lake. The boundary between government land and private property is marked with survey monuments set at ground level. A five foot yellow steel post is driven into the ground approximately one foot from each marker in order to aid in locating the marker. Trees along the boundary line are marked with a 4 inch yellow band to aid in locating the line. These trees, however, are off the line and are used only to show that the line is nearby. Park Rangers are available to assist in locating the boundary line.
