Special Events

All special events held at Beaver Lake must be approved and a permit issued.  The Special Event Permit is valid for up to two (2) consecutive days.  There is a $30.00 permit fee for all Special Events for 30 or less participants. For event's larger than 30 people, the fee will be assessed by the size  of the event and impact to the area. NO REFUNDS will be given for events not held. A special event permit is required for any event having one or more of the following: (1) an entry, spectator, or participating fee is charged; (2) the event has been advertised and a large number of people can be expected to attend; (3) an extraordinary impact on project resources is expected; or (4) Corps personnel provide additional patrols, surveillance, refuse collection, parking and/or crowd control.

 Admission to view the event will be open to the general public without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or age.  Participation in the event may be limited to members of the sponsoring group provided that the group does not unlawfully discriminate against participation in the event on grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or age.  Request for special event permits citing "special circumstances" for participation requiring gender or age discrimination must be accompanied by a justification.           

All Special Events having more than 50 participants may be required to provide parking plans which may include shuttles to designated areas.  This parking plan must be submitted before approval can be granted.  All special event participants and spectators must pay all associated Area Use Fees.  The daily area use fee is $5.00 per day per vehicle.  Those participants having an Army Corps of Engineers Day Use Annual Pass will not be required to pay the daily fee; however, Annual Passes must be displayed while in the park or while attending the special event.  Annual Day Use Passes cost $40.00 per person/vehicle. Day use passes are available from the Beaver Project Office or at the gatehouse.

Tournament Fishing Events:

1 - All fishing tournaments are required to provide parking plans which may include shuttles to designated areas when the tournament exceeds 100 boats. This parking plan must be submitted before approval can be granted.

2 - All applicable Day User Fees will apply will apply to the special event participants. Daily Use Passes for boat launching is $5.00 per day per vehicle. Annual Day Use Passes cost $40.00 per person/ vehicle.Day use Passes are available from the Beaver Project Office or at the park booth.

3 - An updated copy of the tournament's official rules and regulatons must be submitted along with the special event application.

4 - All participants must comply with all Federal and State boating and fishing regulations.
