  • SPECIAL OZARK ISLE YOUTH MUZZLELOADER DEER HUNT ANNOUNCED

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications from youth hunters who would like to participate in a special muzzleloader deer hunt Dec. 8 and 9 in the Ozark Isle Park/Dry Run area on Bull Shoals Lake. Eight permits will be issued to hunter education graduates 15 years old and under.
  • TRAILS CLOSED AT BONA DEA PARK AND WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Russellville Site Office advises that multiple trails at Bona Dea Park and Wildlife Sanctuary are closed until further notice.
  • ROAD CLOSURE ACROSS BEAVER DAM EXTENDED

    Rogers, Ark. – Work on Beaver Dam in Carroll County is expected to extend until early November. A section of Arkansas Hwy 187 that crosses the dam will be closed for a longer period than first expected so crews can continue the installation of a hydropower head gate in to the dam.
  • DEWEY SHORT THEATER TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    BRANSON, MO. – The Dewey Short visitor center will be closing the theater for private special events Oct. 21 through Oct. 24. During this time the regular presentation of The Taming of La Riviera Blanche will not be available. The Table Rock project office apologizes for the inconvenience to visitors.
  • CORPS TO RELEASE FINAL BEAVER LAKE MASTER PLAN AND SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Beaver Lake Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan workshops Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 to share the final master plan and shoreline management plan, as well as associated environmental compliance documents with the public.
  • CORPS SCHEDULES BOUNDARY LINE MAINTENANCE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Lake Project Office advises landowners adjacent to public lands on Greers Ferry Lake that contract maintenance crews will be conducting boundary line maintenance along an 85-mile section of government boundary.
  • CORPS ISSUES SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers has issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent rains across Oklahoma and Arkansas have caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft. Small craft advisories are issued when flows exceed 70,000 cubic feet per second.
