MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 15-60 Lock 07 Limited Commercial Lockages During Scheduled Maintenance Closure

Murray L&D (No.7)- The maintenance closure of Murray Lock & Dam (No. 7) is in effect through September 04, 2015. While completing the pre-dewater dive inspection, corrosion of critical safety equipment was discovered that precludes dewatering the lock. The maintenance focus has now shifted to above-waterline critical inspections and repairs. During this closure a very limited number of commercial lockages can be accommodated when maintenance is not underway. Any such lockage requires 24-hour advance notice and coordination with the Lockmaster. [Read More]
