MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office has announced that Lakeview Park swim beach on Bull Shoals Lake has been cleared of higher than acceptable E. coli levels. Water samples from the swim beach have been retested and determined that it is safe for public use.
Once the lake’s level drops, the swim beach will again be open to the public.
The swim beach was temporary closed because of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
According to Corps officials, the high bacteria level could be from run-off following recent heavy rains.
