Beat that case of cabin fever with a visit to the Army Corps of Engineers Table Rock Project Office world class Dewey Short Visitor Center on Table Rock Lake.

The visitor center is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

A 20-minute movie, interactive exhibits, and great views of the dam and lake area are all offered from the comfort of the heated facility.

During January and February, experience an indoor campout in our outdoor themed play room.  The area includes play tents, activity rugs, a reading zone, coloring area, and picnic play activities.  The room is designed for children three and older.

At 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, join visitor center staff for free programs featuring children’s books, crafts, and activities.  Upcoming books include “Lewis Cardinal’s First Winter,” “What Do You Do with a Tail like This?” “Maxwell’s Mountain,” and “Chicken’s Aren’t the Only Ones.”
