SEPTEMBER 17 MARKS END OF SUMMER FOR GREERS FERRY LAKE

Published Oct. 3, 2012
HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Fall is quickly approaching and with it the end of the summer recreation season at Greers Ferry Lake. There are still several days to enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Cooler temperatures reduce traffic allowing visitors to take advantage of many recreational opportunities with a more relaxing approach.

As the recreation season winds down, so does the number of available campsites at Greers Ferry Lake. Many of our parks will end services Sept. 17. Due to low lake levels some of our boat ramps will be closed until we receive enough rain to open them back up. If the dry weather event continues and lake levels continue to fall, more boat ramps could be closed for safety reasons.
