USACE announces annual Beaver Lake Cleanup event

ROGERS, Ark. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Project Office is looking for volunteers for the annual Beaver Lake Cleanup event on Oct. 9.

The Beaver Lake Cleanup will encompass the entire lake. Dumpsters will be placed at Dam Site Lake (by the boat ramp), Prairie Creek (in the day use parking lot by the boat ramp) and Hickory Creek Park (by the north boat ramp).

Litter picked up around the lake can be dropped off at the dumpsters at Dam Site Lake, Prairie Creek and Hickory Creek Parks.

Volunteers can stop by the Beaver Lake Project Office located at 2260 N. 2nd St., Rogers, AR 72756 on Oct. 8 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up trash bags.

To reduce potential exposure to COVID-19, there will be no after-cleanup cook-out at Prairie Creek this year.
