UPDATE TO NAVIGATION NOTICE SWL 19-81

POOL 10 TEMPORARY CHANGE IN WATER ELEVATION

MCCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM

 

Mariners are advised that the pool 10 water target elevation is being changed to 338.0, as measured at Dardanelle Lock & Dam (No. 10).  This change will underway now and will be in effect until noon on Monday, October 28.  This change is needed by Arkansas Nuclear One to address issues with their scheduled maintenance actions currently underway.

Mariners are reminded to use caution and to draft no more than 9 feet.  The pool 10 sailing instructions listed in SWL 19-81 remain in effect and are repeated below.

NM 221.7 to 222.5 – Run the red line of the currently buoyed temporary channel.  Continue limiting tows through this temporary channel to no more than 70 feet wide (the width of 2 standard barges) and 3 standard barges long, and no passing.

NM 232.5 to 233.5 –Run the red line, no passing

NM 248.0 to 250.0 – Run the green line, no passing

(unchanged from Nav Notice SWL 19-75)

NM 256.5 to 256.8 – Run the red line, no passing

(unchanged from Nav Notice SWL 19-72)
