TICHNOR, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Pine Bluff Site Office has reopened roadways and facilities located below Wilbur D. Mills Dam on the Arkansas River.

Areas reopened include Wilbur D. Mills campground and boat launch and Notrebes Bend campground and boat launch.

The closure was put in place due to a high voltage transmission line that became unstable from the recent flooding.

Repairs to the transmission line have been completed and the area is once again safe to use.

Officials from the Army Corps of Engineers Pine Bluff Site Office regret any inconvenience this may have caused.  Public safety and security are top priorities during this historic flood event recovery.

For more information on this closure please call the Arkansas Post Field Office at 870-548-2291.
