    TOAD SUCK FERRY L&D - Lockages at Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9 have returned to normal operation.
  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 60 ACROSS TOAD SUCK LOCK AND DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    One lane of Highway 60 across Toad Suck Lock and Dam will be closed from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. Aug. 25-26. During the lane closure maintenance will be performed on the dam.

    The Army Corps of Engineers will begin a drawdown Aug. 15 on Millwood Lake for bank stabilization work at Cottonshed Park.
  • Special Deer Hunts

    The Army Corps of Engineers Clearwater Lake staff is proud to announce that applications are available for our annual mobility impaired deer hunt for non-ambulatory hunters, Oct. 18 through Oct.19, as well as our third annual Wounded Warrior deer hunt, Oct. 25 through Oct. 26. Both hunts will take place within Clearwater Lake’s Watchable Wildlife Area.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers advises landowners adjacent to public lands on Norfork Lake that maintenance crews will conduct boundary line maintenance along a 30-mile section of government boundary.

    The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Bull Shoals Lake Master Plan scoping workshops Aug. 22-27 to share information about the revision process and to collect public comments concerning potential development and land use management around the lake. Anyone interested in the future development of Bull Shoals Lake is invited to drop in anytime during the workshops.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The largest towboat ever built in the United States, the Motor Vessel Mississippi, is a sight to see. This 241-foot-long workhorse for the Army Corps of Engineers will travel down the Arkansas River Aug. 12-14, and the Corps invites the public to view it as it moves downstream.

    TOAD SUCK FERRY L&D - Mariners are advised that lockages at Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9, will require an additional 15 minutes each time the lock level is raised to the upstream water level. One of the two valves that fills the lock to the upstream water level failed, and the additional time reflects use of one valve instead of two. The length of downtime is unknown at this time.
