    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer for many, and it often kicks off with an outing to a lake or river. Park rangers from the Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District want you and your family to be safe in or around the water.
  • CORPS CLOSES HIGHWAY 125 SWIM BEACH ON BULL SHOALS LAKE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office has closed Highway 125 swim beach on Bull Shoals Lake until further notice. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health. Swimming is not recommended in areas with high bacteria levels.
  • BOUNDARY LINE MAINTENANCE UNDERWAY ON BEAVER LAKE

    ROGERS, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is advising landowners adjacent to public lands on Beaver Lake that work crews are currently conducting boundary line maintenance in the vicinity south of the Monte Ne, working north towards the Prairie Creek area.

    DIERKS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Dierks Project Office is asking for public comments on a proposed water deviation request. The special deviation request is in conjunction with a kayak festival planned for June 17 through 19 at Dierks Lake spillway.
  • CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With more than $1.7 billion in contracting opportunities available during fiscal year 2016 and 2017 the Army Corps of Engineers’ Little Rock District, along with 13 other federal agencies, in conjunction with the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center are hosting a federal contracting forum, June 14-15, for businesses interested in working with federal agencies located in the Arkansas region.
